Philippine Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said that the country has sufficient supply of crude oil and is working hard to procure more. She stated during a press conference that the country's fuel supply remains ample and at a "comfortable" level. Garin stated that as of March 20, they have 45 days' worth of crude oil supply. She mentioned that the Philippine National Oil Company has signed additional supply contracts and is actively aiming to purchase more crude oil. As a result of the news, the Philippine peso temporarily rose by 1% against the US dollar, reaching 1 USD to 59.68 pesos.
