On the afternoon of March 21st, several netizens posted videos on social media platforms claiming that a sudden forest fire broke out in Xundian County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, attracting widespread attention. Multiple video clips showed that the fire in the mountains was quite obvious, and rescuers were working hard to extinguish the fire until late that evening. At 9:02 am on March 22nd, The Paper News contacted the Xundian County Emergency Management Bureau to verify the situation. The staff who answered the phone said, "The situation is still being followed up, and it is not convenient to answer specific questions." At 9:41 am, an official from Xundian County told The Paper News that the fire had been completely extinguished and there were no casualties. According to relevant departments in Kunming, they received a report at around 5 a.m. that the fire had been extinguished. Currently, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
