Insiders revealed that OpenAI has signed a new agreement with Amazon Web Services on Friday to provide artificial intelligence services to U.S. government personnel, covering both classified and non-classified businesses. This agreement will allow OpenAI to support the U.S. Department of Defense. At the end of last month, the Department of Defense quickly awarded contracts to OpenAI after abandoning its current artificial intelligence service provider, Anthropic. Insiders said that AWS is already the main cloud service provider for multiple U.S. government agencies and has agreed to sell OpenAI products to other U.S. government clients. Winning government contracts will help OpenAI attract large enterprise clients - enterprises typically regard high-spec government cooperation projects as a sign of trustworthiness in technology service providers.
