Bank of China: The yield of the two-year US Treasury bond at 3.80% is attractive.
Subadra Rajappa and Shakeeb Hulikatti of French bank Societe Generale said in a report that if the Middle East war ends quickly, the attractiveness of the 3.80% level of the two-year US Treasury yield will begin to emerge. These US rate strategists said, "With little possibility of a rate hike in the US and the potential for a rapid reversal in prices if the war ends, the 3.80% yield on two-year US Treasury bonds is starting to look attractive." They stated that the risks facing this view are the continued conflict and the continuing rise in oil prices. According to data from Tradeweb, the latest two-year US Treasury yield is reported at 3.794%, a decrease of 3.7 basis points.
