According to data from the American Automobile Association, as of March 12, the average price of unleaded gasoline has increased by 22% in the past month, reaching approximately $3.59 per gallon. This national average is the highest level since May 2024. The investment research firm Bespoke Investment Group found that last week, oil prices recorded the largest three-day surge since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans over 20 years ago. Kevin Gordon from the Jiaxin Wealth Management Financial Research Center stated that March saw the most dramatic 10-day price surge on record.
