Hong Kong stock market mid-day report: Hang Seng Index drops by 1.59%, Hang Seng Tech Index drops by 2.12%

Hong Kong stocks closed lower at midday, with the Hang Seng Index falling by 1.59% and the Hang Seng Technology Index dropping by 2.12%. Sensetime fell by over 8%, Xiaomi Group dropped by over 4%, SMIC and Hua Hong Semiconductor both fell by over 3%, while Meituan, Alibaba, and Baidu Group all dropped by nearly 3%.
