Multiple airlines announced changes and refund policies for flights to the Middle East.
Affected by the situation in the Middle East, several domestic airlines in China, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines, have successively announced special handling plans for flights to the Middle East: According to the notice from Air China, passengers who purchased tickets before 8:00 pm on February 28, 2026, for flights to and from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh between February 28 and March 15, 2026, can apply for changes or refunds. The first change is free of charge, but passengers need to pay the fare difference. China Eastern Airlines specifies that passengers must have at least one unused segment of a flight to or from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, or Muskat, with a departure date between February 28 and March 15, 2026, to be eligible for a free change to a flight within 3 days before or after the original flight. In the plan by China Southern Airlines, passengers who purchased tickets for flights to and from Dubai, Riyadh, Tehran, and Doha, and meet the criteria of purchasing before 8:00 pm on February 28, 2026, with travel dates between February 28 and March 15, 2026, can make one free change. Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines have also successively announced special handling plans for flights to the Middle East.
