During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Pudong, Shanghai will promote ten major core industries to achieve significant breakthroughs in scale.

Li Hui, Deputy District Mayor of Pudong New Area, stated that Pudong is targeting the goal of being a "national demonstration zone for new industrialization", with deep integration of science and technology innovation and industrial innovation as the core path, and focusing on building a world-class high-end industrial cluster. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Pudong will focus on key areas of urban and district coordination, implement a core cluster strategy, and promote breakthroughs in ten core industrial clusters: promoting the integrated circuit, biopharmaceutical, smart connected car, and software information industries to reach a scale of five trillion yuan, while artificial intelligence and intelligent terminals form clusters of two trillion yuan, civil aviation, shipbuilding and marine engineering, robotic intelligence, and new energy reaching a scale of one trillion yuan, using advanced manufacturing as the backbone to strengthen the modern industrial system as a "cornerstone".
