In January, the number of enterprises issuing origin certificates increased by 14.75% compared to the previous year.
This morning, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held a press conference to announce the business certification data for the national trade promotion system in January of this year. The data shows that in January, the number of enterprises obtaining preferential certificates of origin in the national trade promotion system increased by 14.75% compared to the previous year. By January 2026, the national trade promotion system had issued a total of 739,300 various certificates, including certificates of origin, ATA carnets, and business certifications. Among them, there were 47,700 non-preferential certificate of origin enterprises, a 0.5% increase from the previous year; 33,500 preferential certificate of origin enterprises, a 14.75% increase from the previous year; 4,801 RCEP certificate of origin enterprises, a 7.17% increase from the previous year; and 964 outbound ATA carnet enterprises, a 24.71% increase from the previous year. Wang Wenshuai, spokesperson for CCPIT, stated that at the beginning of the new year, there has been a significant increase in the number of enterprises applying for certificates of origin and ATA carnets, indicating that China's foreign trade enterprises are continuously enhancing their ability to explore diverse international markets using policies such as RCEP. This demonstrates the strong resilience and vitality of China's foreign trade.
