Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding: The second domestically produced large-scale cruise ship is expected to be delivered before the end of the year. The backlog for civilian ship orders has extended to 2029.

"The second domestically-built large cruise ship, Aidahua Cheng, is currently approaching 94% overall project progress, with a construction progress of 92%, 1-2 percentage points ahead of the original plan. It is expected to be floated out in mid-March and enter a new stage of dock berthing and testing." On February 26, Wei Shengsheng, director of the China Shipbuilding Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Cruise Project Department, made the above statement. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Vice President Zhang Wei told reporters that over 20 ships are planned to be delivered in 2026, including the second domestically-built cruise ship, as well as PCPC car carriers, oil tankers, medium-sized container ships, and other types of ships, with a total output value of over 15 billion yuan. The company currently has orders scheduled for production until 2029, and is in negotiations for delivery orders from 2029 to 2030.
