According to the Tianjin Daily, the city's housing and construction work conference for 2026 was held yesterday. The meeting pointed out the need to promote the construction of a modern people's city. It was emphasized to further improve the urban physical examination mechanism, explore the establishment of a professional institution to participate in community physical examination and renewal work, and strengthen the application of physical examination results. Accelerate the construction of 32 urban renewal projects under construction, initiate the implementation of 15 new projects, and plan a batch of reserve projects around the key areas of coordinated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Develop a revitalization plan for "one floor, one strategy" and complete the revitalization tasks of 21 old buildings. Promote the overall renewal of historical districts such as central parks, strengthen the protection, inheritance, and utilization of historic buildings, and build vibrant street districts with integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, and exhibition. Complete the construction of Metro Line 8, accelerate the construction of the extension line of Line 11, Z2 line, Northeast Corner Station, and other metro facilities. Complete the construction of a number of municipal roads and roads around neighborhoods. Fully promote the accelerated construction of 27 urban village transformation projects, with 5 projects to be completed and delivered within the year.
