Railway goods transportation regulations published, effective from May 1, 2026.

The "Railway Freight Transport Rules" were approved at the 3rd departmental meeting on January 30, 2026, and are now being announced. They will come into effect on May 1, 2026. Among them, it is proposed to encourage deep integration and complementary advantages between railway transportation enterprises, and between railway transportation and other transportation methods, to carry out multimodal transport and full logistics services, to make rational use of resources, reduce transportation costs, innovate railway bills of lading, improve freight service information systems, enhance digitalization and intelligence levels, and achieve data sharing.
