Recently, the Shanghai police cracked down on a case of illegal flying of drones in the "cleansky" special operation, which seriously disrupted the airspace security order and could even pose a threat to civil aviation safety. The suspect Tang, a photography enthusiast, illegally hacked into the security control information system of drones since 2025, without the approval of the air traffic management agency, he controlled the drone to fly at an ultra-high altitude over 50 times in Shanghai and several provinces and cities, with 11 of them exceeding 1000 meters. In late January of this year, Tang flew the drone at an altitude of over 2000 meters three times in the Dianshan Lake civil aviation dispatch area, with the highest reaching over 2700 meters, seriously affecting civil aviation safety. In addition, Tang also recruited customers through social media to provide paid aerial photography and climbing services, illegally earning over 2000 yuan. Currently, the suspect Tang has been criminally detained by the Qingpu police, and the case is under further investigation.
