Trump claimed to have secured $1.8 trillion in investment commitments, but American media "debunked" it as pure fiction.
According to CNN, the Cable News Network, on the evening of February 24th Eastern Time, President Trump delivered the first State of the Union address of his second term in Congress. During the speech, Trump claimed that since returning to the White House, he had secured $18 trillion in investment commitments for the United States. CNN remarked that Trump's statement was "repeating his consistent false claims." In his speech, Trump said, "In 12 months, I have successfully obtained over $18 trillion in investment commitments from around the world." However, CNN immediately debunked this claim. "The '18 trillion dollars' figure is purely fictitious," CNN said. As of the night of Trump's speech, the White House official website indicated that the amount of "significant investment announcements" for this term was $9.7 trillion, a number also considered to be "seriously exaggerated" by the outside world.
