Direct flight to Uzbekistan "Shanghai-Tashkent" route is about to open.

With the implementation of the visa-free policy between China and Uzbekistan, the exchange of personnel between the two countries has become more convenient, and cultural exchanges and cooperation have become increasingly closer. Starting from March 30, 2026, China Eastern Airlines will officially open a direct flight route from Shanghai to Tashkent. Following the opening of the Xi'an-Tashkent route in 2025, this route is another important measure to further serve the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road", deepen the interconnection between China and Central Asia, and expand the "air corridor" facing Central Asia with Shanghai as the hub, injecting new energy into economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and tourism interaction between the two places. The round-trip flight numbers for the "Shanghai-Tashkent" route are MU6037/MU6038, with four flights per week, scheduled to operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The outbound flight departs from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 13:40 Beijing time and arrives at Tashkent International Airport at 18:40 local time. The return flight departs from Tashkent at 20:20 local time and returns to Shanghai at 06:15 Beijing time the next day. Currently, China Eastern Airlines' "Shanghai-Tashkent" route tickets are fully available for sale.
