Analysts at Berenberg wrote that British energy giant Shell may turn to acquisitions in the mid-term to increase its reserves. These analysts wrote that, based on current production rates, Shell's existing reserves can sustain for nearly 8 years. They wrote that, so far, the company should be able to maintain production until the end of 2030. They stated that Shell's existing resource base leans towards liquefied natural gas and deepwater assets, which typically have higher profit margins. The stock price rose by 0.7% to 2,985 pence.
