On February 23, local time, the former Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Altan Grubi, was arrested at the country's border crossing in Blace. The North Macedonian Ministry of Interior stated that Grubi is suspected of abusing power and embezzling approximately 8 million euros. In December 2024, after the relevant investigation was initiated, Grubi left North Macedonia and was wanted.
