The new Dutch cabinet is sworn in
The new Dutch cabinet, led by Rob Jetten, the leader of the D66 party, was sworn in to office in The Hague on the 23rd, with King Willem-Alexander. The new cabinet consists of 18 ministers and 10 state secretaries, and was formed through negotiations by the ruling coalition of the D66 party, the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy, and the Christian Democratic Appeal. Rob Jetten was born in March 1987 in Veghel, North Brabant province, and is the youngest prime minister in Dutch history. He previously served as Minister of Climate and Energy in the cabinet from January 2022 to July 2024, and briefly also as deputy prime minister.
