According to the National Development and Reform Commission, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the proportion of mining industry's total output value in resource-based cities in China decreased to 6.2%, which is more than 40% lower than the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, a decrease of 0.92 percentage points. The value added of the tertiary industry exceeded 50%. Transformation and development in resource-based regions continue to achieve new results.
