On February 14, as usual, WeChat temporarily raised the personal red envelope limit on specific days. On that day, the individual single red envelope limit was adjusted from the usual 200 yuan to 520 yuan, valid only for that day. WeChat temporarily raises the personal red envelope limit only on February 14, Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day), and May 20. On February 14, 2026, the limit applies from 00:00 to 23:59 and automatically reverts to 200 yuan the next day. The group red envelope limit remains unchanged at 200 yuan.
