According to customs data, in 2025, China's lithium product import and export data for January to December is as follows: approximately 7.751 million tons of lithium concentrate were imported, a year-on-year increase of about 39.4%, mainly from countries such as Australia, Zimbabwe, and Brazil. Net imports of lithium carbonate were 237,000 tons, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; net exports of lithium hydroxide were 35,000 tons, a decrease of 68.5% year-on-year; net exports of lithium iron phosphate were 32,000 tons, compared to 0.3 million tons in 2024, an increase of about 9 times year-on-year; net exports of lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide were 61,000 tons, compared to 11,000 tons in 2024, an increase of 463.9% year-on-year; net imports of lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxide were 15,000 tons, an increase of 41.3% year-on-year.
