Shanghai: By 2030, the proportion of added value of industry to the region's total production value should strive to remain above 20%.
The outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Shanghai Municipality has been released. It proposes to deepen the advancement of new industrialization, strengthen innovation-driven, end-consumer driven, and structurally optimized development, with advanced manufacturing as the backbone, to build a "2+3+6+6" modern industrial system, promote the "Shanghai manufacturing" brand, establish a mechanism to maintain a reasonable proportion of manufacturing investment, and strive to keep the industrial added value's share of regional GDP at over 20% by 2030, steadily increase the proportion of industrial services, and ensure that the output value of strategic emerging industries in the industrial sector accounts for over 50% of the total industrial output value of scale enterprises.
