China's "underwater space station" successfully deployed

According to China Railway Construction Corporation, China's "deep-sea space station" has been successfully utilized. On the morning of February 6, the world's longest underwater high-speed rail tunnel achieved new progress. After 22 days of operation, the first domestic shield tunneling machine with saturation and pressure entry equipment, "Deep Sea Space Station", completed its "debut" on the Ningbo side of the Jintang Undersea Tunnel of the Yongzhou Railway constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau. The successful implementation of the 75-meter deep high-pressure environment shield tunnel entry operation, with a total of 46 tool changes, marks the successful application of China's independently developed shield tunnel saturation and pressure entry technology. It has broken through the safety depth limit of 60 meters and continued to explore to 75 meters.
