The major Japanese IC substrate manufacturer Ibiden announced that its board of directors has officially approved an electronic business investment plan. The total investment scale of the plan is approximately 500 billion Japanese yen, covering the fiscal years 2026 to 2028, with the aim of expanding the capacity of high-performance IC substrates. Downstream application areas include AI servers and high-performance servers. In the AI chip substrate market, Ibiden is a global leader, with major customers including Nvidia, Intel, AMD, and others.
