Xi Jinping meets with Special Envoy of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Le Huu Chinh.

On the afternoon of February 4th, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping met with the special envoy of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Central Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lai Huai Zhong at the Great Hall of the People. Xi Jinping pointed out that the two parties of China and Vietnam adhere to the fine tradition of informing each other of their major political agendas, reflecting the special friendly relations and high political mutual trust between China and Vietnam as "comrades and brothers". Not long ago, I had a conversation with General Secretary Su Lin, exchanging in-depth views on further advancing the construction of the strategically significant China-Vietnam community of common destiny, and reaching important consensus. I believe that under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Comrade Su Lin, the Vietnamese Party, state, and people will surely be able to successfully complete the goals and tasks set at the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Xi Jinping emphasized that the development of various undertakings in socialist construction in China and Vietnam demonstrates the vitality and vigor of the socialist system to the world. China will consistently attach great importance to the development of China-Vietnam relations, and is willing to work with Vietnam to firmly grasp the future and destiny of socialism, uphold the "16-character" policy and "four goods" spirit, implement the overall goal of "six enhancements", implement high-level consensus, continuously promote traditional friendship, deepen exchanges at all levels and cooperation in all areas, properly manage differences, and push forward the construction of the China-Vietnam community of common destiny. Lai Huai Zhong delivered a reply letter from General Secretary Su Lin of the Communist Party of Vietnam to General Secretary Xi Jinping, expressing gratitude for the meeting and stating that the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has opened a new era of development for the Vietnamese nation. Vietnam will always prioritize the consolidation and development of relations with China in its foreign policy and is willing to work hand in hand with China in the new journey of development, guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and two countries, further consolidate the political, material, and public opinion foundation, and push Vietnam-China relations to new heights for the benefit of the people of both countries.
