The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway had a total of over 2.6 million cross-border passengers in January this year.

Journalists learned from the Shenzhen Railway that in January 2026, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail line transported a total of 2.638 million cross-border passengers, welcoming a "lucky start" to the new year. Cross-border passenger flow is mainly for business travel and leisure tourism, with active bi-directional movement. The number of passengers traveling from Hong Kong to the mainland reached 1.234 million, with the main destinations concentrated in core cities of the Greater Bay Area such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Dongguan; while the number of passengers traveling from the mainland to Hong Kong reached 1.404 million.
