On the afternoon of January 29, the National Energy Administration organized a meeting to summarize the pilot work of the wind power and photovoltaic power generation resource survey. At the meeting, the energy and meteorological authorities of six pilot provinces such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Tibet, and Qinghai, as well as three technical support units including the Hydroelectric Hydropower Planning and Design Institute, the China Meteorological Administration Public Meteorological Service Center, and the National Marine Technology Center, introduced the progress of the work. The New Energy Department of the National Energy Administration comprehensively reviewed the progress of the work and the achievements and experiences of the pilot projects. The meeting emphasized the need to take the survey results as an opportunity to comprehensively improve the industry management level, shift from "experience-based calculation" to "scientific decision-making" in planning, shift from "isolation and segmentation" to "systematic coordination" in management, and shift from "focus on scale" to "focus on value" in concept. It is necessary to further summarize the effectiveness of the pilot projects, improve technical methods and work mechanisms, urgently formulate a national wind and solar resource survey work plan, increase the promotion and application of the survey results in the industry, and make new and greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a new energy system and promoting the realization of the strategic goal of becoming an energy powerhouse.
