Cui Dongshu: Strong growth of commercial vehicle compulsory insurance data in 2025 domestic commercial vehicles

Chenglian branch member Cui Dongshu wrote that according to the data of the National Financial Bureau of compulsory insurance, the compulsory insurance data for domestic commercial vehicles will see a strong growth in 2025. Due to the strong growth of new energy vehicles and policies promoting vehicle updates, the overall situation of new energy commercial vehicles in 2025 will show a rapid increase. From March to December, the growth of new energy vehicles is strong. The end-of-year growth of commercial vehicles this year is strong, with domestic sales of 300,000 units in December, a year-on-year increase of 5% and a month-on-month increase of 15%. From January to December 2025, domestic sales of commercial vehicles reached 3.1 million units, an increase of 9% year-on-year. Compared with the stable period of commercial vehicles since 2022, this year has reached a good level of near-highs in recent years. After the policy tail showed signs of reversal at the end of 2024, the sales of new energy vehicles in January 2025 were relatively weak, but then increased significantly year-on-year. In December 2025, sales of new energy commercial vehicles reached 140,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 71% and a month-on-month increase of 49%; from January to December, cumulative sales of new energy commercial vehicles reached 910,000 units, an increase of 57% year-on-year.
