The Ministry of Civil Affairs recently issued the "Guiding Opinions on Further Promoting Technological Innovation in Civil Affairs", which proposes to promote technological innovation in the fields of rehabilitation aids and funeral services. It calls for strengthening technological breakthroughs in rehabilitation aids, researching key technologies such as precise neural regulation and human-machine coordination control, developing technologies and products such as exoskeleton robots, intelligent orthoses, smart prostheses, and rehabilitation aids for patients with mental disorders. It also suggests developing digital assessment technology for the adaptability of rehabilitation aids, studying quality inspection methods and standards, designing inspection equipment, and improving the evaluation system for rehabilitation aids. The document also urges the application of technologies such as large language models and brain-computer interfaces in the rehabilitation of disabled children, as well as strengthening the research and development of rehabilitation technologies and equipment for disabled children such as cerebral palsy and autism. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need for comprehensive research on technologies related to funeral services, including the development of new green ecological body disposal technologies, the production of green, low-carbon, and intelligent funeral products and body preservation and transportation equipment, and the promotion of iterative upgrades in technologies and equipment for the disposal of bodies and funeral offerings, to achieve carbon emission reduction in the funeral sector. Research is also recommended on techniques such as body preservation and beautification, coordinated control of funeral pollutants, disinfection and biological contamination control in funeral venues, and the establishment of a technical system for controlling pollutants.
