Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: By 2025, revenue from emerging businesses in the telecommunications industry such as cloud computing and data centers is expected to increase by 4.7% year-on-year.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on January 28, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 2025 Telecommunications Industry Statistical Bulletin. Preliminary calculations show that in 2025, the telecommunications industry's revenue from emerging businesses such as cloud computing, big data, mobile Internet of Things, and data centers reached 450.8 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7% compared to the previous year. The proportion of this revenue in total telecommunications revenue increased from 25% in the previous year to 25.7%, driving a 1.2 percentage point growth in total telecommunications revenue. Specifically, revenue from cloud computing, big data, and mobile Internet of Things increased by 2.9%, 7.8%, and 4.9% respectively compared to the previous year.
