Ministry of Ecology and Environment: By 2025, the proportion of excellent water quality sections among the 3641 national surface water assessment sections will reach 91.4%.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Pei Xiaofei, introduced at the regular press conference on the 28th that in the whole year of 2025, out of 3641 national surface water monitoring sections, the proportion of sections with good water quality was 91.4%, an increase of 1.0 percentage points compared to the previous year; the proportion of sections with V class inferior water quality was 0.6%, remaining the same as last year.
