Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated during the National Work Conference on CCPIT and the 6th National Committee Meeting of the 6th CCPIT that the key focus of work in 2026 will be on enhancing work effectiveness and promoting trade innovation and development. Efforts will be increased to stabilize foreign trade, implement the "Thousand Enterprises Going Global" action with high quality, support enterprises in expanding intermediate trade, cultivate new growth points in digital trade and green trade, stabilize traditional markets, expand emerging markets, and promote market diversification. The implementation and promotion of free trade agreements will be strengthened to help enterprises expand exports through various means such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouses, and export credit insurance. Prudent work will be carried out to promote imports, supporting enterprises in expanding imports of high-quality products and services from relevant countries through platforms such as the Import Expo and Consumer Expo, in order to better meet the needs of industrial transformation and upgrading and consumer upgrading, and promote balanced development of import and export.
