According to Counterpoint's monthly report on wafer foundry services, it is estimated that by 2028, TSMC will reduce 15%-20% of the 12-inch mature process capacity of Fab 14 with the core goal of improving the utilization structure of traditional processes and reallocating resources to support the expansion of advanced packaging technologies. Counterpoint's market supply tracking data shows that the core driving force behind this capacity adjustment is the persistently low utilization rate of the 40-90 nanometer process. TSMC had previously announced its strategic adjustment plan for the mature process capacity of its Fab 14 factory.
