Beijing: Encourage capable companies to merge and restructure satellite data upstream and downstream enterprises.

The Beijing Municipal Government recently issued a document on promoting the development and utilization of commercial satellite remote sensing data resources, proposing to strengthen and optimize the diversification of business entities. Encouragement is given to internet companies and geospatial information enterprises to develop value-added services based on commercial satellite data, and to cultivate integrated business entities combining "satellite data + industry". Enterprises with the capability are encouraged to acquire and reorganize upstream and downstream companies in the satellite data industry, integrate and improve the ground station network, data application services industry chain, and build competitive leading enterprises with global competitiveness. Strengthen the cultivation of commercial satellite companies specializing in new gradients, and provide research and development cost deductions for companies in segmented fields such as artificial intelligence processing of remote sensing data, space-based computing power, and innovative application platform development that meet policy requirements.
