According to the news from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission stationed in China Construction Bank and the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, a case review and investigation have been carried out on the serious violations of discipline and law by Gao Qiang, former party secretary and president of the Zhejiang Branch of China Construction Bank. It was found that Gao Qiang had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and missions, resisted organizational investigations, transferred and concealed evidence; ignored the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, accepted gifts, cash gifts, and consumption cards that may affect the impartial execution of official duties; violated organizational principles, sought personnel benefits for others in violation of regulations and accepted property; breached the bottom line of integrity, offered gifts to personnel engaging in official duties in violation of regulations, engaged in profit-making activities in violation of regulations, and took on paid positions after leaving office in violation of regulations; violated the rules of life by gambling for a long time; he became greedy, used his position for personal gain in loan financing and other aspects, and illegally accepted a huge amount of property. As a leading cadre and party member of a state-owned financial institution, Gao Qiang had a weak sense of discipline and law, was willing to be "hunted", sought personal gain through loans and stocks during his tenure, and made money under the guise of "wages" and "consulting fees" after leaving office, engaging in corrupt practices similar to a revolving door between banks and enterprises. This seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, constituted serious violations of duty-related laws and crimes of bribery, with no signs of restraint or stoppage after the 18th and 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and even continuing after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with serious nature and harmful influences, requiring serious punishment. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", the "Administrative Penalty Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China", and other regulations, after research by the China Construction Bank Party Committee, it was decided to expel Gao Qiang from the Party, confiscate his illegally obtained gains; the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection will transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for review and prosecution according to law, and all involved property will also be transferred.
