A confirmed interloper in the solar system passed by tens of thousands of small asteroids.

Today, it was learned from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory that an international research team led by the observatory has conducted in-depth research on the interaction between a comet named 3I/ATLAS entering the solar system in 2025 and the "local residents" of the solar system. The comet travels almost "retrograde" on the plane of the planetary orbit, crossing through the densely populated area of the inner solar system. The related research results have been published in the academic journal "Astronomy Magazine".
