Inner Mongolia beef production has exceeded 1 million tons for the first time.

According to Honghai, director of the Animal Husbandry Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, in 2025, Inner Mongolia will take measures to promote the stability and development of the beef cattle industry, with a target of having 8.734 million head of beef cattle, 5.947 million head slaughtered, and a beef production of 1.017 million tons. These figures represent a year-on-year growth of 12.7%, 12.8%, and 14.2%, respectively. Inner Mongolia's beef production has exceeded 1 million tons for the first time, an increase of 126,000 tons from the previous year, accounting for 57% of the national increase in beef production.
