Copper bars are no longer sold in the Shuibei Market.
Following gold bars and silver bars, another metal variety has recently become popular on social media platforms - "investment copper bars." On the afternoon of January 20th, reporters visited several trading centers in Shuibei Market in Shenzhen and found that "investment copper bars" were not openly displayed on the counters. Some businesses told reporters that the market management had clearly notified them: "Selling copper bars is prohibited, if they are displayed on the counter, they must be removed immediately!" However, some businesses also mentioned that copper bars have just started selling in the past few days. If there is demand, customers can "pay first, and have someone deliver the goods later"; while another business stated that currently, copper bars are only available for pre-orders, with a minimum order of one kilogram at 180 yuan per bar, and customers have to wait for the factory's notification.
