European Central Bank President Lagarde said that Trump's tariff threats are causing uncertainty to reemerge.
Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, said that uncertainty has returned due to new tariff threats from Trump. She told the media at the World Economic Forum in Davos that trust between the US and Europe is being undermined, and added that companies in both places are currently trying to understand the chain reaction of new tariff measures. In an interview aired on Tuesday, she said, "More important than tariffs themselves, we once again see uncertainty rising - uncertainty is back." She described these threats as "a movie we've seen before."
