According to Tradeweb data, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury bond rose to 4.275% in afternoon trading in Asia, reaching its highest level since early September last year. This increase comes as President Trump threatens multiple European countries with new tariff threats over his plans to purchase Greenland. Kaspar Hense of BlueBay stated in a report, "If the Greenland dispute continues to escalate, EU investors are likely to sell US Treasury bonds." The senior portfolio manager suggested that this dispute could put pressure on global interest rates and have an impact on the US market.
