Recently, the Yulin City Medical Security Service Center in Guangxi issued a public announcement on the failure of insured units to timely handle changes in personnel insurance information. The announcement pointed out that timely and accurate updating of medical insurance information is an important basis for ensuring the safe operation of the medical insurance fund, maintaining the fairness of the medical insurance system, and is also a legal obligation of all insured units. It was recently discovered that Yulin City First Vocational Middle School did not report the procedure for reducing the number of employees due to death within the specified time, violating Article 25 of the "Social Insurance Handling Regulations", which states that "if an individual meets the conditions for ceasing to enjoy social insurance benefits as stipulated by the state, the employer, the beneficiary of benefits, or their relatives shall inform the social insurance handling agency within 20 working days from the date of the occurrence of the relevant situation." This situation led to the continued receipt of medical insurance personal accounts for many years after the insured person's death, disturbing the management order of medical insurance operations and posing a serious risk of loss of medical insurance funds. In order to prevent such problems from happening again and effectively strengthen the security defense line of the medical insurance fund, the unit will be publicly criticized throughout the city. The Yulin City Medical Security Service Center will continue to increase supervision and inspection efforts, handle insured units that repeatedly violate the regulations or fail to make corrections in accordance with the law, and report to the medical insurance administrative department for further action those with particularly serious offenses causing losses to the medical insurance fund. All insured units need to take this seriously, strengthen their sense of responsibility, strictly abide by medical insurance laws, regulations, and policies, standardize insurance management, and collectively protect the security of the medical insurance fund.
