Inner Mongolia Baotou launches construction of national zero-carbon zone.
On the 17th, the first batch of national zero-carbon pilot parks--the construction of the national zero-carbon park in Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was launched in Baotou City. Gong Mingzhu, Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, stated that Baotou City, as a pilot city for China's carbon peak target, is leading the way in green development in Inner Mongolia. The coordinated development of "source, network, load, and storage", with prominent characteristics and advantages, has laid a solid foundation for the construction of zero-carbon parks. It is understood that the park will carry out work such as the construction of green electricity direct connection channels, the development of new energy projects, the construction of incremental distribution network projects, the construction of new power systems in the park, demonstrations and utilization of hydrogen energy, and coordinated energy saving and carbon reduction in multiple industries.
