State Grid stated on the 16th that by the end of 2025, the company had completed a total of 42 ultra-high voltage projects, with a cross-regional transmission capacity of 370 million kilowatts. The company has successfully built ultra-high voltage AC backbone grids in East China, North China, Central China, and Southwest China, significantly enhancing the resilience and reliability of China's energy supply. Based on the start of the 2026 "14th Five-Year Plan", State Grid has clarified the tasks of the new round of major project construction. Next, the company will start the construction of key projects such as the Zhejiang ultra-high voltage AC ring network, the Panshi ultra-high voltage AC project, and the second phase of the Liaoning Qingyuan pumped storage power station. It will accelerate the progress of ultra-high voltage projects such as Datong-Huailai-Tianjin South, Aba-Chengdu East, and Mong West-Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, as well as the construction of the Karamay 750 kV transmission and transformation project, to ensure the on-time operation of the Shaanbei-Anhui, Gansu-Zhejiang and other ultra-high voltage transmission projects, as well as the Henan Luoning and Hebei Yixian pumped storage power stations, in order to serve the overall work of the Party and the country with the high-quality development of the power grid.
