On January 15th, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held a work meeting with the Shandong Provincial Government. Han Jun, Secretary of the Party group and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, attended the meeting. The two sides exchanged views on their work. Han Jun pointed out that Shandong is a major agricultural province and a major grain producing province. The provincial party committee and government insist on putting the work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers in a position of top priority. They have made significant achievements in promoting rural revitalization and building a higher-level "Shandong grain barn" by focusing on revitalizing rural industries, talent, culture, ecology, and organization. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will thoroughly study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding the work in Shandong, vigorously support Shandong in promoting the increase in yield of grain and oil crops, continuously improving grain production capacity, strengthening agricultural scientific and technological equipment support, building a highland for agricultural scientific and technological innovation, promoting the upgrading of rural industries, developing modern animal husbandry, modern fisheries, and strengthening the agricultural product processing industry, transforming agriculture into a modern industry, and accelerating the construction of a strong agricultural province.
