On January 15, Ge Haijiao, Chairman of Bank of China, met with Olivier Cretey-De Marre, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canada China Business Council, at the Bank of China headquarters in Beijing. They had in-depth discussions on supporting mutual investment by companies from both countries, deepening economic and trade financial exchanges between China and Canada, promoting green financial cooperation, and expanding the international use of the Renminbi. Both sides agreed that China and Canada have strong economic complementarity and huge cooperation potential. They will take this meeting as an opportunity to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation in multiple areas, continue to serve the exchange of companies from both countries, share market development opportunities, and inject new energy into deepening China-Canada economic and trade relations.
