Import prices in the United States rose in October and November.
The U.S. Department of Labor announced on Thursday that import prices in the United States rose in the two months ending in November. The data showed that import prices increased by 0.4% over the two-month period, with a 0.1% increase in import prices in November compared to the previous year. Import prices do not include tariffs and transportation costs. The Labor Department stated that fuel import prices fell during the period, while non-fuel import prices rose. The release of data for October and November, which was originally scheduled for November 18 and December 16, was delayed due to the government shutdown.
