Tesla Model Y is forced to discount in India.

According to reports, informed sources revealed that about one-third of the first batch of vehicles imported by Tesla into India last year are still difficult to sell, as some potential buyers who had pre-ordered have now canceled their orders. These sources stated that, after around 300 Model Y SUV vehicles arrived in India four months ago under the leadership of Elon Musk, low market demand has led to approximately 100 vehicles still awaiting sale. They mentioned that, in order to clear the unsold inventory, Tesla is offering up to a 200,000 rupee discount on certain models of this SUV. Tesla officially entered the Indian market in July last year, with India imposing tariffs as high as 110% on imported cars.
