Over 60 institutions in our country have applied for satellite data with ITU. The industry coverage is extremely wide.
According to incomplete statistics by reporters, currently, China Star Network, Shanghai Yuanshin, Blue Arrow Hongqing, and Wireless Innovation Institute have all submitted satellite constellation plans to ITU with a scale of over 10,000 satellites. Since 2023, more than 60 institutions in China have submitted satellite data to ITU, with a wide range of industries covered, including state-owned enterprises such as China Star Network, Shanghai Yuanshin, and China Satcom, as well as research forces like Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Peng Cheng National Lab, and large commercial aerospace teams such as Blue Arrow Hongqing, Galaxy Aerospace, Changguang Satellite, and Guoxing Aerospace. Open Securities Research Report believes that low-orbit satellite constellations have become a new track in the space competition of major countries. Amid the competition for frequency resources, the satellite industry market is targeting trillions. The low-orbit satellite market may exhibit significant growth potential in the next ten years. In addition, under the competition for low-orbit satellite resources, the entire satellite industry chain is expected to transition from the "investment incubation period" to the "profit realization period" sooner.
