Panama starts administrative procedures for the restoration of the Chinese Immigrants Monument.

Panamanian Minister of Culture, Maruja Herrera, announced on the 12th that, in accordance with President Mulino's instructions, the official administrative work related to the restoration of the Chinese arrival monument has been initiated. Herrera, representing the Panamanian government, visited the site of the 150th anniversary monument of Chinese arrival in Panama, located on the west side of the Panama Canal at the Amricas Bridge viewpoint. Herrera stated on site that the Panamanian government has coordinated with various parties, including the Chinese community, and the Ministry of Culture has reached preliminary consensus with the construction team and the Chinese community working group. The next steps will involve selecting a building design proposal and completing the restoration at the original site.
