NDRC: Will take the lead in formulating the "13th Five-Year Plan" for the development of the circular economy.

On January 13, the State Council Information Office held a regular policy briefing to introduce the relevant situation of the "Action Plan for Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste." Vice Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhou Haibing, stated that this year the NDRC will lead the formulation of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for the development of the circular economy, specifying key areas and tasks for the development of the circular economy. The plan will deploy key measures for the recycling and utilization of traditional recyclable resources, precious metals, and the "three new types" of solid waste, improve the guarantee system, further enhance resource utilization efficiency, strengthen resource security, support green and low-carbon transformation, and promote new achievements in the high-quality development of the circular economy.
